Career Guidance by Guide to Your Career.Com.

Alan Bernstein is the founder of Guide to Your Career.Com. His years of research and personal inquiry have attempted to answer an essential question: how do we make good choices? After going through a career change myself, He began to explore this question professionally. He developed his research through faculty appointments at New York University, New York Medical College, Rutgers University, and the City University of New York.

Through his work, He was drawn to developing intuition, his own and others. He became consultant and principal architect to the Princeton Review's Career Development project, which has included a seminar and book (Guide to Your Career), now in its fifth edition, and a series of guides (resume writing, internships, teaching abroad, etc.). He also developed a related program with Outward Bound, as people who feel at risk (whether changing careers or kayaking in a storm) are more likely to try new forms of information.

For careers, his experience and research show that the best decisions are made using two kinds of information: objective research and developed intuition. We’ve created this website to combine guided memories (see Guide to Your Career, Chapter 3) with informational interviewing, so you can develop a road map towards your future. We hope this site helps you along your chosen path.
